Meeting with the residents of Sobieszewo Island was held on 1st October. According to the “ACT” idea we talked about the UN Sustainable Development Goals, climate changes and all the environmental issues connected with organising European Jamboree. While talking about the jamboree, its educational programme addressed to thousands scouts and guides from around the world could not be omitted. Especially that it enjoys the honorary patronage of President Andrzej Duda and the patronage of the European Council.

At the meeting, the residents of the Sobieszewo Island met ZHP, WOSM, WAGGGS and the Host City Gdańsk representatives – European Jamboree 2020 organisers. The representatives of Sobieszewo Island expressed their willingness to support the event not only in the terms of logistics or transportation but in the whole preparation process. 

During European Jamboree many activities such as Day Visitors or the opportunity to visit the Jamboree site will be available for the residents. That is why, they were presented briefly too. It was mentioned that the whole volunteer offer for the residents will be presented on April 2020.

At the end of the meeting, all the residents could get answers to all their questions concerning the European Jamboree 2020.
