Weekend in Warsaw – 3rd Head of Contingents Meeting

On January 31st Heads of Contingents met in Warsaw for the 3rd time. HoC from 35 countries came to Poland to discuss jamboree preparations for the last time before the beginning of the event in July.

Security Briefing 200 Days Before Jamboree

National and regional agencies will support the Jamboree organisation by creating a secure environment for participants, volunteers and visitors.

Specific solutions related to public and fire safety and medical assistance will be implemented during the Jamboree.

On 9th of January 2020, two hundred days before the Opening Ceremony, representatives of national and regional agencies and the Jamboree Organisation took part in a briefing led by Karol Gzyl, Jamboree Director, which provided information on the status of preparation for the biggest event of summer 2020.

Visit the Jamboree!

The European Jamboree will be open for Day Visitors from 29th July 2020 to 5th August 2020 from 10.00 till 20.00.

Tickets will be available both online and at the Amber Expo Check-In Centre (there is a limited number, so it’s recommended to buy the tickets in advance and online). The number of tickets sold per day will be limited to avoid overcrowding on any single day.

The Day Visitor Office will provide sightseeing tours for visiting guests.

Bike Jamboree Final in Gdańsk

Today sees the last stage in the Bike Jamboree; the very first bike relay around the world that started in May 2017. 

The  37 stages included travelling through Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan – and the freezing cold of Siberia and Mongolia.

Too Late to Participate? Registration Still Open for IST!

We are amazed by the number of countries interested in joining the European Jamboree 2020, but unfortunately, we can no longer accept any new patrol of participants.

While we would love to have more participants, it is important that we provide a safe Jamboree with a high-quality programme. This is the reason we cannot welcome at the Jamboree more than 17,600 participants. We have already reached this cap.

European Jamboree Volunteers Took Part in the Gdansk Volunteer Week

Alex from Scotland, Sophie from Ireland, Fleur and Francois from France, as well as Enrique from Spain took part in Gdansk Volunteer Week. 16,000+ Young People Registered for the Jamboree

Last night we finished registration of patrols for the European Jamboree 2020. Many organizations have used the extended deadline for registration to allow greater number of young people to participate in the Jamboree. As per today we expect more than 16,000 Scouts and Guides from 65 countries of the world participating in the European Jamboree 2020. It makes the jamboree one of the biggest Scout and Guide events.
