Association:

Girl Guides of Canada – Guides du Canada (GGC) is the national Guiding association of Canada. Guiding in Canada started on September 7, 1910 and was among the founding members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928. GGC provides girls with opportunities to grow, challenge themselves, try new things and become more confident. One aspect of their programme is “Special Days” points were they link programme ideas to things happening at that time of the year such as; Build Skills – Financial Literacy Month in November, and Take Action & Into The Outdoors – Earth Day/Earth Month in April.

The Head of Contingent is Jennifer Miller.

Canada is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres, making it the world’s second-largest country by total area.
