Association:

Mouvement Scout De Suisse (MSdS) is the national Scouting and Guiding association of Switzerland formed in 1987. Scouting began in Switzerland in 1912 and they were among the founding members of both WOSM and WAGGGS.

The Heads of Contingent are Cinzia Peruzzi and Cédric Beer.

Country:

Switzerland is a landlocked country in West-Central Europe. The country is divided into three parts; the Jura mountains in the west, the Swiss Alps in the south and the Swiss Plateau, where the majority of the population live. Switzerland is an important location for both international Scouting and Guiding. For WOSM, it is home to their world scout centre Kandersteg International Scout Centre. Nearby, in Ableboden, you will find one of the 5 WAGGGS World Centres; Our Chalet. Both locations form important cornerstones of the international Guiding and Scouting movement, providing space year round for members to participate in various programmes, make new international friendships and explore the surrounding area!
