16,000+ Young People Registered for the Jamboree

Last night we finished registration of patrols for the European Jamboree 2020. Many organizations have used the extended deadline for registration to allow greater number of young people to participate in the Jamboree. As per today we expect more than 16,000 Scouts and Guides from 65 countries of the world participating in the European Jamboree 2020. It makes the jamboree one of the biggest Scout and Guide events. The Jamboree Planning Team welcomes registered contingents and patrols with great joy. We are happy that you decided to join this adventure!

One of our crucial tasks is to provide a safe jamboree with the educational programme of high quality. The result is that the Jamboree can accommodate a certain number of participants.  Therefore, all new contingents of MOs/NSOs that wish to register themselves for the Jamboree between 1st November and 30th November 2019 will be placed on the “Green List”. We have secured a number of spots to be distributed among the green-listed contingents on 1st December 2019. Our aim at this stage is to allow all the new contingents to send for the Jamboree at least one patrol.

Despite the fact the number of spots for young participants of the Jamboree is limited, we encourage all MOs/NSOs to register adult volunteers for the International Service Team. Still we need additional 1,500 adult volunteers more to run the Jamboree successfully. Registration deadline for the IST is 31st December 2019.

We’re very happy that so many of young people want to share the great jamboree adventure. We believe that together we can ACT and change the world for better and more ecological place.

See you on July 2020 in Gdańsk!
