About Partnerships and the DO’s:

During the preparation for the European Jamboree many Contingents decide to enter into cooperation and partnerships with private entities, public authorities and other NGOs. Below you can find some useful tips regarding establishing partnerships with partners and sponsors.

We recommend that the national partner/sponsor should be an entity:

  • which respect WOSM’s and WAGGGS’ educational values
  • which are leaders in exhibiting corporate social responsibility through policy and practice
  • which provide products and services related to the European Jamboree
  • which are committed to volunteer action
  • which promote responsible production, use and ultimate disposal of their products and services and adhere to the principles of sustainable development
  • which have a positive image, good reputation and a track record of good ethical behaviour

The DONT’S

The national partners and sponsors must in no way be engaged, or perceived by the public as being engaged, in activities running counter to WOSM’s and WAGGGS’ principles, missions and visions.

You should not enter into a partnership with an entity:

  • which does not respect internationally recognised standards of human rights, including the rights of the child
  • which is involved in the manufacture or sale of arms or ammunition
  • whose core business is the direct manufacture or sale of products widely recognised to be harmful to health
  • which does not respect local or national laws and regulations of the countries where it operates and internationally accepted codes
  • which has major public controversies tied to its products, policies, activities or personnel
  • which are considered to be a significant risk to the Scout and Guide Movements’ reputation and image

Apart from Contingents’ partners and sponsors the European Jamboree is also supported by its official partners, sponsors and service providers. These entities invest a significant amount of resources to help us in delivery of the event. For that reason, some regulations are incorporated to coordinate brand exposition on the Jamboree Site and in the Host City, on centrally procured advertisements, on the European Jamboree owned media (official social media channels, official website, FM radio, etc.) and in press coverage.

If your contingent is about to work, or is working, with national partners and national sponsors, please consider the following proposals for them:

  • Branded materials or activities prepared together with a partner (or with materials delivered by the partner) within your National Tent in the European Harbour
  • Branded materials or advertisement on your Contingent’s participant kit
  • Information about partner/sponsor with tag of the brand name and partner logo and/or photo on your Contingent Facebook Page / NSO Facebook Page (the same with Contingent or NSO Instagram or Twitter)
  • Information about partner/sponsor with tag of the brand name and partner logo and/or photo on your Contingent website and/or NSO website
  • Photo coverage with, for example, the sponsors/ partners branded equipment in use posted on social media

Before you enter into a partnership we encourage you to consult your NSO/MO as specific rules of corporate partnerships may be established.
