Visit the Jamboree
Day Visitors are an important part of the Jamboree programme and experience. The European Jamboree 2020 welcomes everyone to join the joy, adventure, and fellowship of the Jamboree as a Day Visitor. Many visitors will have a connection to Scouting and Guiding or the local community, and so they will be eager to see the Jamboree in action.

Visitor access will be limited each day to ensure a positive experience for all interested in taking part. To avoid disappointment advance purchase of Day Visitor passes is strongly recommended.
There are two passes options available to purchase:
- “Standard”, for 20 PLN which includes travel to the Jamboree from the Check-In Centre, entrance and guided tour.
- “Standard Plus” for 100 PLN which includes travel to the camp from the Check-In Centre, entrance, guided tour and Memorial Package consisting of a special Day Visitor Scarf and badge.
For those who would like more souvenirs of the European Jamboree, there is a special Collector’s Pass which is available for an additional 25 PLN.
The policy of the Jamboree Organisation is to allow one person to visit the jamboree site maximum twice (two single entrances).
Amber Expo, a place where adventure begins
Day Visitors will begin their Jamboree experience at the Amber Expo Check-In Centre, located at Żaglowa 11, 80-560 Gdańsk. Day Visitors must leave their cars at the Amber Expo parking site and board shuttle buses that will take them to the Jamboree site and bring them back to the Amber Expo at the end of the day. No personal vehicles are permitted at the Jamboree site.
Amber Expo is open from 10:00 to 20:00 on the visiting days, from 29th July until 5th August 2020. One exception is 1st August, when the Unity Ceremony is being held. On the 1st of August the Amber Expo is open until 17.00.
During registration, all visitors receive a Visitors ID which must be worn all the time during the visit. A guided tour is available for all visitors, and they will have the opportunity to see all open and public areas of the European Jamboree. However, entry into the Subcamps and Programme Areas are forbidden. The last shuttle bus to Amber Expo leaves the Jamboree site at 19:00, and all visitors are required to leave the camp.
High season in Gdańsk
Please note, there is a limited number of hotel rooms at Sobieszewska Island, and the Jamboree overlaps with annual St. Dominic Fair and Shakespeare Festival in Gdańsk. We recommend Day Visitors to book their accommodation in advance. Advises where to stay in Gdańsk and what to do (except visiting the European Jamboree) you may find in the official tourism portal at https://visitgdansk.com/en/.
